The greatest guitar player I’ve ever seen play. Dave Molnar not only has wicked technical ability, but he has a hell of a instinctual feel for rock and roll. He’s able to craft and mold his technique in a way that is atmospheric. Not bombastic.
A founding member of the Dreadful Yawns, Dave left the group in 2006 and immediately set out to record Never Better. What we have here is the result. The sweet gloriously poptastic results. From ballads to Kinks flavored jangle rock, Dave’s voice rings with a clarity of vision and lucidity of thought that only comes after a few beers. His voice weaves in and out of jangly guitar chords bringing to mind equal parts Teenage Fanclub, Replacements, and Elliott Smith.
As Dave began work on his follow-up. As luck would have it he ran into his musical doppelganger and arch-nemisis Ryan Wilkins. They would join forces, combine bands, and created Good Touch, Bad Touch.
And yes. I know who is GT and who is BT.
